The Red Newt

The Red Newt is one of our favorite restaurants on the east side of Seneca Lake. Winemaker David Whiting and Chef Debra Whiting invite their guests to enjoy exceptional wine and innovative cuisine in the tasting room and bistro. Their menu of Finger Lakes cuisine changes every three weeks.

Though it is cold and snowy (rainy?) outside, it's cozy and warm at the Newt.  Thursdays are Winelovers' night (any bottle of wine half price with dinner) and Fridays are Bistro-Made Pasta Night!  There's not quite anything like freshly made pasta, especially the way that Deb does it.
As always, their wine bar features 24 wines by the glass and in thematic wine flights.  So stop on by and relax at the Newt.

The Stone cat Cafe

The Stonecat Cafe is another favorite of ours. This transformed garage/fruit stand is no more than a stones throw from Magnolia Place. The eclectic selection of gourmet dishes is sure to satisfy even the most selective palate. Enjoy one of Seneca Lakes spectacular sunsets from their outdoor patio.

Suzanne's Fine Regional Cuisine

Suzanne’s-Fine Regional Cuisine, is new to the Finger Lakes Region. The landmark Townsend home, built in 1903 has been gently and carefully transformed into a restaurant by Robert and Suzanne Stack. Suzanne Stack desires to cook and share with diners her discoveries of extraordinary quality local ingredients. She relies on the Finger Lakes farmers, winemakers, cheese makers and bread bakers for inspiration and ingredients. Diners are welcome to enjoy the beauty of the 100-acre farm as well.

Dano's Heuriger is a Viennese-style casual dining along the shore of Seneca Lake. According to chef and proprietors, Dano Hutnik and Karen Gilman, "Enjoying an afternoon or evening of food and wine at the Heuriger is an important family event in Vienna.
